When Good Web Hosting Companies Go Bad

Many web hosting companies seem to go through a cycle: They do everything right and deliver great service.  They grow. They gain a reputation as being outstanding. They grow some more.  The get acquired or go through some sort of consolidation. The new management decides to cut costs, and the first place they look is usually support.

The next thing you know, support has been outsourced to India, the support ticket system has been decommissioned and the support phone numbers have been disconnected.  The only way to communicate with the support department is via online chat. Not long after that, your website’s performance starts to deteriorate.
